This year, IMPACTIFI proudly joined WHX Miami, the premier healthcare, tech, and science conference in the region where our Chief Global Officer, Camilo Padrón, moderated a powerful panel on “Latin America’s Tech Revolution: From Regional Hub to Global Player.”
Camilo was joined on stage by Claudia Serrer, Trade Commission Southeast USA for ProChile and Markus Schreyer of Ganesha Lab for a forward-looking conversation that spotlighted Latin America’s accelerating role in the global MedTech and innovation economy. The panel explored the region’s emergence as a hub for cross-border healthcare technologies, biotech entrepreneurship, and startup-driven solutions with international impact.
The week leading up to the event included a special delegation visit from Barranquilla, Colombia, organized in collaboration with AmCham Atlántico y Magdalena and the Cámara de Comercio de Barranquilla. The group participated in an exclusive tour of the Jackson Health System campus, getting an inside look at innovation in action, including a rooftop visit to the hospital’s helipad.

We’re proud to share that our CEO, Teresa Grandal-Cusse, was a featured panelist at the U.S.-Caribbean Business Conference, where she joined distinguished leaders including Keith Eischeid, Regional Director for LATAM, for the U.S Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) , and TJ Villamil, President of Business Development for eMerge Americas. Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Teacher of the Year Luncheon - Fireside Chat

We were honored to see our CEO, Teresa “Terry” Grandal-Cusse, take the stage as a featured speaker at the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Teacher of the Year Award Luncheon, where she led a thought-provoking fireside chat on the future of education.
Joined by Steven Iglesias, Director of Innovation & Technology at Doral Academy Preparatory and recognized education futurist, the conversation explored how artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and innovative learning models are reshaping classrooms and empowering educators.

Inside the Defense Innovation Unit Ecosystem: A Roundtable with DIU at JPMorgan Chase

As part of our ongoing #TechIn... Series, IMPACTIFI was proud to host an exclusive Tech in Defense Roundtable in partnership with JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking at their South Miami office. This quarterly event brought together a select group of innovators, founders, and executives to explore how their technologies can be adapted for dual-use applications within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
We extend our deepest thanks to Sam Valencia of the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) for leading the discussion and providing firsthand insight on how private-sector companies can successfully navigate the defense innovation space. In November 2024, John Riley III, IMPACTIFI’s Chief of Emerging Tech, had the distinct honor of being invited by ProChile USA to participate in #ChileTechWeek and the prestigious #LAB4+ event in Santiago, Chile.

GoGlobal Immersion Week: Showcasing Chilean
Innovation in Miami

We were proud to support the GoGlobal Immersion Week 2024 in collaboration with CORFO | Chilean Economic Development Agency ProChile and the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) , a weeklong experience designed to help international tech companies gain direct access to the South Florida innovation ecosystem.
IMPACTIFI had the honor of hosting 10 outstanding Chilean companies in Miami, including:

Health Beyond Boarders

IMPACTIFI's Internationalization program had the honor of hosting eight HealthTech companies from Chile, in partnership with ProChile USA. The program, named Health Beyond Borders, immersed these entrepreneurs in the South Florida health tech space.
The companies had the opportunity to meet with healthcare leaders from Baptist Health, gaining valuable insights into how hospitals in South Florida adopt emerging technologies. This helped them assess the potential fit of their solutions in the US healthcare system.
With the support of IMPACTIFI's strategic partner, CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center), we provided these companies with a unique experience that many international HealthTech startups lack when attempting to enter the US healthcare market.

Presentations were made by three successful international companies that included AmePower, XYGO-Mapas Digitales S.A., and ITACA TECHNOLOGIES. They demonstrated how the intersection of their technologies fosters greater business opportunities and collaboration across various sectors, while also improving government planning, sustainability, and security to create better communities.
The event also highlighted Miami-Dade County’s growing reputation as an innovation hub, attracting international organizations seeking partnerships in South Florida and providing them greater opportunities to embrace emerging technologies and visionary companies in the region.
Argentine-American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) Business Networking Exchange Event
IMPACTIFI was honored to attend the Argentine-American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) Business Networking Exchange event on April 11th, 2024. This inaugural gathering also included the United States – Mexico Chamber of Commerce and the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the value of collaborative efforts in fostering global business connections. The event emphasized the role of these partnerships in facilitating international businesses seeking to enter the US market and connecting them with essential services.

Abe Fireside Chat with Kim Ng Event

IMPACTIFI had the honor of attending the exclusive Abe Fireside Chat with Kim Ng Event on March 28th.
We had the privilege of hearing Founder and CEO Beth Elleston of Abe, the creator of one of the most innovative AI career platforms, interview Kim Ng, the first woman to serve as General Manager in professional sports history. Kim shared her career experience with the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, LA Dodgers, and Miami Marlins, and the importance of leadership and finding the right talent to build the right culture in your organization.
Kim and Beth were able to share their insight on the importance of the Abe platform, a data-driven hiring solution and AI-powered career coach that can provide verified career data, helping companies find the right candidates and indivduals find the right employment opportunities.

Navigating Today's Miami Tech and Startup Ecosystem Event

IMPACTFI kicked off its first internationalization event of the year at Miami Tech Week in Miami, "Navigating Today’s Miami Tech and Startup Ecosystem" at Miami Dade College. Our Chief Global Officer Camilo Padron moderated a great panel that included our CEO Terry Grandal Cusse.
They were joined by some of the top experts in Miami’s ecosystem covering Internationalization, Funding, Tech Resources, and Talent Development, and provided a deep discussion about the expansion within Miami’s emerging tech and start-up community in South Florida.
It was a standing room only event that covered valuable insights into how Miami's emerging tech ecosystem is thriving more than ever, leading the nation in the emergence of new tech companies, securing funding, and providing soft-landing opportunities for international organizations looking to establish a presence in Miami.

The IMPACTIFI team had an exciting time wrapping up tech week in April at the eMerge Americas conference, which showcased the fast-moving emerging tech sector in Miami and across South Florida.
It was a privilege to have our Chief Global Officer, Camilo Padron, host and moderate the inaugural Healthcare Tech Hub sessions at eMerge. This opportunity not only highlighted our team's leadership but also underscored the innovative spirit of the conference.
Reconnecting with long-standing colleagues and forging new relationships with innovators contributing fresh ideas to this flourishing ecosystem was incredibly rewarding. For over a decade, the eMerge conference has been a catalyst in spotlighting rapid technological advancements and fostering a unified community.

Americas Summit

The IMPACTIFI team was honored to participate in the esteemed Concordia Summit, held at the University of Miami on April 22nd and 23rd. This prestigious event convened global leaders, including heads of state, government officials, C-suite executives, and influential figures from nonprofits, think tanks, and foundations, all dedicated to addressing some of the most significant challenges facing our world today.
During the summit, our team engaged with top decision-makers and gained profound insights into critical issues affecting Latin America, such as infrastructural gaps, economic diversification, and the need for stable institutions. These discussions underscored the urgent requirement for sustainable internationalization, the integration of emerging technologies, and enhanced training initiatives between the US and Latin America.

Broward and Beyond
2024 Event

On May 3rd, the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development hosted the "Broward and Beyond" event, which showcased numerous collaboration opportunities for local companies. Terry Grandal Cusse, CEO of IMPACTIFI, moderated one of the day’s most popular sessions titled "Success Methods: Tap Into Technology, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence." The panel emphasized the critical need for businesses to adopt innovative technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and provided guidance on initiating such integrations.
The event was an excellent opportunity for the IMPACTIFI team to strengthen existing relationships, forge new connections, and meet with several of our partners. A notable interaction was with Erik Fuente, CEO of Boxie, whose pioneering platform is revolutionizing education by combining video and traditional book-style learning, enabling students to interact directly with educational content online.
